Good or bad?

Where does your character fall on the spectrum? More specifically, where does your character THINK they fall on the spectrum? After all, everyone thinks they're the hero of their own story.

We as viewers/readers might be able to clearly tell that this unrepentant murderer is the bad guy, but they might not think so. Maybe they think they're justified? On the flip-side, maybe your absolute, hard-working do-gooder still believes they're not doing good enough. It's all about perspective, and how characters view themselves.

No blank top-levels.

MONSTER'S BRIDE

There's a long precedent in folklore and myth of beautiful young people - both men and women - being kidnapped by monsters: dragons, beasts, goblins, demons, elves, vampires, wolves, or even evil humans. In the end, however, these prisoners are almost always rescued and brought back to civilization to live a normal and happy life.

But what if they didn't want to leave their jailor?

They've seen behind the surface and have begun to sympathize with this "monster;" no, more than that, they've fallen for them. Will this story have a happy ending? Will the monster believe that anyone could love them? Most importantly, though, can the two of them be left alone without any attempts at a "rescue?"

Comment with your character, your preference, and what role they'll play. Feel free to AU characters to your desired role.

Thread anything that could remotely fit under the umbrella theme. Was the kidnapping just that, or did both parties know (and care) for each other before, making it a collaborative, mutual effort? Perhaps you'd prefer to play the actual Beauty and The Beast-style getting to know each other or seeing behind the grizzly facade. What about an attempted "rescue?" Or maybe you could thread out a scene where the prisoner runs away from the society they were forced back into and returns to their beloved beast! It's all up to you. You could even do smut if you wanted to, but this isn't a smut meme.

But nudity is sometimes viewed as a weakness - and it is almost always sexualized - so bathing is often kept a private matter. If you do share these moments with someone, they're almost always a significant other or a sexual partner.

Whether it be after a battle or after sex (or before sex, even), the two of you are going to get clean. Be sure to help each other out with that, won't you? After all, there are places on the back that just can't be reached...

Of course, do half-tuths count? What about lying by omission? That's up to you, and how far you want this curse, this ailment, to go. The only thing that can't be escaped is the truth, whatever form that truth takes.

I. Matchmaker, Matchmaker - You're a commoner, and the matchmaker - whether it be your parents or an actual village matchmaker - has had their say. It's time to meet your spouse-to-be.
II. Do Your Duty - This isn't a normal arranged marriage because your station calls for it. There's some purpose behind it: A political alliance, perhaps, or something else. You don't have much choice but to go through with it, so you might as well meet the other person.
III. Getting to Know You - So the engagement is official, and you've met the other person, but you still don't know them very well. Maybe you've decided to take them out, or maybe it's a chaperoned meeting. But it's good to spend time with someone you'll be spending the rest of your life with, right?
IV. Breaking it Off - Before your engagement, you were with someone else. You're still with someone else, but it's time to change that. The Reincarnated Lovers Meme

Everyone knows the feeling of when you see someone and you know you've seen them before. Isn't that a part of déjà vu? But what if the connection you have with that person goes beyond the superficial recognition of familiarity? Perhaps you were connected once...in the most intimate of ways. Some religions and philosophies believe in reincarnation of souls, and it's said that souls could be reincarnated together - once again to follow out the same path they did before. Or maybe not. Maybe it could be a second chance for fixing things that went wrong before, like the a tragedy or circumstances keeping you apart. But can you take that chance? Do you even want to?
